Sospensioni del viso con filo spinato
The technique of thread lift has been developed since 1990 but was not, by that time, met with the response it deserved. This method is effective with excellent results when indications are very precise. In a thread lift, barbed sutures (threads) are used. Your surgeon would use a thin needle to insert the sutures under the facial tissues. The barbs on one end of the thread grab and lift the sagging skin and the teeth on the other end anchor the skin to the underlying facial tissues.
Positive benefits
Quick lift – no traumatic – non-invasive treatment-low risks of complication-less recovery time – less downtime
Although there are many positive benefits in this technique there still are some disadvantages like feeling the thread in skin palpation or slight asymmetries but most of all that the lasting is much shorter than conventional surgery.

The technique
The technique allows to lift up the tissues and not to stretch like a facelift. An average face loses about 4 to 5 cc in volume per year and the threads rise and fill the remaining volume. The patient’s face is cleaned to avoid any risk of infection. Once dried, the face is measured and is undertaken prior labeling but visible lines are left on the face as a guide. During surgery, small incisions will be made at various points on the face. A hollow needle will then be inserted into the skin to put the threads in place. The threads are attached to the fat underneath the skin, and will then be adjusted to tighten and smooth the contours of your face. The excess thread is trimmed so it does not appear above the skin surface
Regions of the face where we intervene are bandaged to prevent movement during the early days. Indeed, excessive movement can dislodge the thread and thus alter the desired result
The side-effects
There may be swelling and possibly bruising. The area will be sore, swollen and may be discolored because of slight bleeding associated with the operation.
The patient can resume normal activities (light walking, TV, computer.) but must rest for a few days after surgery. This excludes physical exercise, sexual activity, speech and facial expressions, excessive shaving, scrubs, massages, chemical peels, harsh cleansers and sleep position on the face for 7-12 days. These recommendations are intended to prevent movement of the thread.
The thread should be cut short and skin forced down. It is possible to notice a lump under the skin. The solutions may be trying to redirect the thread down or making a small incision and then cut the end. If it happens that the wire comes out, the correction is very simple. The thread is cut again to be reduced and redirected downward.
The results
Post-procedure you may experience some slight bruising and swelling, which usually settles in a few days. Recovery is generally quick, with most patients returning to work the next day or after a few days rest, although you may find that your facial movement is limited for the first week or two.
